The picture above is a rare,
unretouched photo of Z. B. D. Westcoupe's ancient
magic box, gateway to stories untold and worlds
beyond. Caught by Ralph C. Needelsmann, an amateur
photographer vacationing in the Rockies, the box is said to
have flown in lazy circles for several minutes before
suddenly zooming from view. For neigh on fifty years
or so, ol' Z. B. D. Westcoupe has ridden the musical range.
Along the way, he's played with a passel of music
masters and even
helped win a prize or two, including an Academy Award for
his work on the soundtrack for the movie Fame. These days he
travels from town to town, tellin' his "deliciously
subversive" trickster stories, playin' his honest to
goodness "Swamp Gumbo" music, and peddlin' his books, folk
art, posters, and Bottled Beauty, Nature's Finest, 100% pure
virgin tap water -- an elixer so miraculous it comes with an
iron clad no money back unless completely satisfied
guarantee. If you'd like Rooster's Original Good Time
Medicine Show to enliven your event give us an electronic
holler.
