In a creative career spanning more than three decades, drummer, songwriter, author, screenwriter, web producer, Rob Fisher, has accumulated a wealth of bad jokes which he shares with all who'll listen.

CONCERTS:

Opened two stadium concerts for Roy Orbison, opened for Led Zepplin, The Velvet Underground, The Box Tops, Vanilla Fudge, and many more, and was featured center stage twice playing rock drums with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Sir Colin Davis.

TOURS:

Toured in opening act for Led Zepplin (three stadium concerts), toured in opening act for Three Dog Night, toured with Canadian country rocker Dave Peters, toured in Europe with Billie Davis ("Tell Him").

GIGS:

Countless gigs in bars, bistros, coffee houses, clubs, strip joints, barns, studios,houses, festivals, carnivals, stadiums and concert halls with some notable musicians such as Jeff Lorber, John Scofield, Marcus Miller, Johnny Johnson, Lenny Breau, T-Bone Wolk, Pete Seeger, Bruce Derr, Charlie Legand, Stan Bronstein, Bob Mintzer, "Wild" Bill Walker, Jim Pugh, Oscar Hernandez, Kinny Landrun, Lee Williams, Freddie Harris, Lowell Perlman, Hack Bartholomew, Marc Shulman, Dee Dee Warwick, Steve Jordan, and many more.

FEATURE FILMS:

Played drums on "Fame" soundtrack album (2 Academy Awards for music); drums and music production, "Feedback," gold medal Miami Film Festival; songs and script for "Rooster Tales," a proposed animated feature.

ABC (co-produced and played on background music for soaps), played on and co-produced Fox/Metromedia station ids heard umpteen times a day for about ten years throughout the New York metropolitan region, corporate ID music for Teletronics Corporation, played on theme and music for "Vic the Viking" cartoon, "My Enemy the Queen," book ad, Doubleday, "If You Need Copies," New Image Ads, (wrote jingle).

CURRENT PROJECTS:

Rob is involved in animation projects based on two of his books, The Prince of Whales and Rooster Tales.

Additionally, he is working in behalf of "Namaste" Trevor Oosterling a Dutch sannyassin yogi who plays a rhythmic brand of yidaki or digeredoo. Popular in Australia, Holland and Japan, Namaste is eager to spread the joys of playing didge here in America. Those interested in learning from a master, starting a didge circle, or who may know of a venue, (a school, library, concert hall, or new age center, etc.) in which Mr. Oosterling might present a concert or program are asked to please get in touch.
